Our workshop, which has been going for almost 20 years, started with humble beginnings of doing small bespoke joinery pieces before kitchens. Over the years we have been fortunate to work on various and interesting joinery pieces from roof lanterns to bespoke vanities and way more!
With so many options on the internet, and very attractively cheap options too, sometimes clients aren’t sure which route to go down, so here we give 5 reasons you should buy bespoke joinery.
1. Bespoke sizes.
The title says it all. When you need a size to fit a specific space, using a joinery shop where the furniture is handmade, means the items are made meticulously and seamlessly to fit. We make it as though the space was to fit the furniture, and not your furniture looking like it was squeezed to fit the space.
2. Quality assured
Bespoke joinery workshops tend to have smaller teams that work closely together. Our head joiner Jack checks the wood as soon as it arrives, and that he is happy for his team to work with it. We work closely with our suppliers, who like us are family run and been going for many years, so we know what quality we should expect. Our quality checks are run by our fitters too, so that all the team can be positive that anything we send out is high quality
3. Variation of joinery
With shortage of skills in the industry, finding talented joiners that can turn their hands to different bespoke joinery pieces are tricky to find. In these handmade workshops, you will find some of the top tradesman who have spent their years handcrafting wonderful items, and have learnt all the tricks of the trade to provide beautiful, lasting pieces for your home. This means they are perfectly set up for all your bespoke joinery renovations from windows to doors, wardrobes to vanity units.
4. Top Class advice
With experience also comes the best knowledgeable advice. We have worked with so many different types of wood, from Iroko, Idigbo, Ash and Oak to name a few, that we can recommend and guide our clients to the to use for their end use. We can also be aware of clients budgets and with our showroom, we display what each finish will look like before you need to make the big decision.
5. Lasting product
When our joiners have spent their days handcrafting each piece, it becomes more personal. This means when we make a bespoke joinery piece, it is something we want to have pride in and to last in our clients homes. It is not replicated, or cheap to sell in masses, but quality driven and made by the hands of a professional and not a machine.
