Church Farm Kitchens has specialised in traditional, handmade kitchens for many years and seen so many fashions come and go. As much as we try and predict the trends, it mostly comes from you, our clients, and recognising your fundamental lifestyle and preferences changing.  So what can we see already in 2026 making the list. Here are our top 5…

1.     Belfast Sinks

A staple in any country kitchen, the Belfast sink brings effortless charm of traditional cottage vibe, with the sleek edges and ceramic shine giving it a touch of luxury. The sinks are also deeper, making them perfect for washing Yorkshire pudding trays from your family Sunday roast.

2.     Brushed handles

Whether its chrome, brass or nickel, thebrushed, aged effect is the perfect blend to bring a bit of country class to a modernpainted kitchen door. The brushed handles don’t show up the fingerprints and givestexture for a tasteful finish. We love their Colmore pull handles in dark aged brass.

3.     Ash wood kitchen doors

The choice of ash wood for kitchen doors has become our most popular choice, with many clients drawn to the idea of seeing a delicate grain through the painted wood, that is sympathetic especially to listed or characterful buildings.

4.     Insinkerators

Although these have been around for a while, we are starting to see a new surge of clients wanting to add ease and sustainable changes to their kitchen. Reducing less food waste and odour from bins, this is certainly a forward thinking device for kitchens for 2026.

5.     Oak

Whether its flooring, furniture or worktops, Oak is certainly making a subtle comeback to the kitchens in 2026. Oak is a fabulous hardwood, with many advantageous properties, which is why there are so many different ways to incorporate this warm, natural texture into the home. This has always been a material favoured in traditional kitchens, but with different ways to stain and shape, can bring a softer touch to the home than before.
